To take on the title role of “Batman”, one actor made sure to have a smaller physique to pat.
As the days of shirtless acting approach, Robert Pattinson is carefully “counting sips of water” to prepare for his undressed scenes.
The 35-year-old former Twilight actor plays the role of a cloaked crusader in restarting Batman in 2022.
But to play a mysterious mysterious person repelling death requires intensive training, including a strict diet.
In fact, he undertook “months” of physical preparation for the acclaimed role.
“I had about three months before the movie started, and then you train before and after work all the time,” he told People on the red carpet at the premiere of “Batman” on Tuesday night. “You just cut and cut and cut before a few scenes with your shirt off and counting sips of water.”
Going without a shirt in the movie, he said, is a motivation to look his best.
“Shame is my biggest motivator, 100%,” he joked.

But Pattinson’s scenes are not all without a shirt. When he’s not flaunting his belly, he wears Batman’s famous – and powerful – suit.
It’s funny because you read the script and spend a lot of time trying to figure out, “How can I play this character who does such daring things?” And the closer I got to the pictures, the more paranoid I became – you know, it feels ridiculous. when you’re just sitting at home in a T-shirt – and then put it on, “he said, describing the suit. “He has elemental power in him.”
“The whole world is suddenly changing,” he said of wearing artificial armor, “because people react differently to you” when they see it. He realized that the hero was “just much bigger” than he was, like “wearing a crown.”

But this is not the first time Pattinson has gone to extremes for a role.
In 2016, he told People he “didn’t eat anything” to achieve a 28-inch waist for his role in “The Lost City of Z.” (Although its slender middle part “lasts only three days” after filming is over.)
“After six or seven weeks, you just ate half a little fish and a crumb of rice,” he explained, “and then you eat a sandwich and then you gain 15 pounds.”
For Good Time in 2017, his hair was dyed so much that he began to fall out.
“Batman” arrives exclusively in theaters in the United States and Britain on March 4. AMC theaters plan to charge higher ticket prices for the superhero movie.
