Roberta Miranda keeps a secret about Campo Grande and is happy about the show

Empowered, humorous and… good marketing! These are some of the words that describe 66yearold Roberta Miranda’s passionate “Hurricane.” Hours before taking the stage at Campão Cultural to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Mato Grosso do Sul, the singer received the press at her hotel to give more details about the show. In his extreme sympathy and wit, he even took the opportunity to do “dealer”. [propaganda] of his future works, which refer to a bombastic revelation and cite the name of Campo Grande.

Possessing herself and a sympathy running through her veins, the Rainha do Sertanejo made a point of tackling professional and personal affairs, going in total harmony from the start until the name of Roberta Miranda exploded in Brazil. In one of the statements, the artist said that in the capital, Mato Grosso do Sul, she experienced the worst pain of her life. According to her, she always came to town and everything happened when she was 15 years old.

“One of the worst pains of my life — if not the worst pain of my life — that’s where I felt.” Without going into too many details, he explained that it all took place in an old restaurant called Garfo de Ouro, where he had sung earlier. In addition, a very influential family from Campo Grande is said to be involved in the controversy, but their identity has not been released.

“Every time I go here in Campo Grande I cry a lot because here was the greatest pain they caused me.” Roberta declined to give more information but explained that the whole truth is in her book to be unveiled, which is set to be released in 2023. Within minutes, the mystery captured a new potential reader of her work — and possibly many who were there.

Asked about tonight’s show, there were no riddles. Fans can count on the ‘roots’ songs of his career such as ‘Still Yesterday Chorei de Saudade’, Majestade O Sabiá, São Tantas Coisas, Sol da Minha Vida, Meu Dengo and other memorable songs to mark his path.

“The show I bring here [Campo Grande] It’s coming up, it gives me the opportunity to play on stage, sing songs so we can dance. I also jump together with the boys the other day the physiotherapist is at home I will become a girl because your energy is so great” she is excited.

“I know what I went through to get here”

There’s no denying that Miranda has an infectious energy. However, she was not always allowed to live like this. Coming from a totally sexist structure, the singer struggled to break down barriers and establish herself in the sertanejo market where the male figure reigns supreme.

“I come from a very castrating family in the Northeast. But it’s my way, the family has more or less gotten used to the way I talk and act, I have a very serious attitude, with a very sharp personality. I don’t care… I know what I went through to get here,” he recalls.

Today the scenario is different! Roberta is known for her 37year career with her sharpwitted nature, strong individuality and always connected to issues of female empowerment. Not for nothing is his name a forerunner of contemporary Feminejo. Names like Maiara and Maraísa, Simone and Simária, Naiara Azevedo and Marília Mendonça were only possible because years ago Miranda opened the doors wide for women to enter the segment.

“I wanted to bring country music to the world and you can be sure that it will all.” [cantoras sertanejas na nova geração] were inspired by Roberta Miranda. They are grateful for the groundwork I put in to help them shine in the sertanejo world today,” says the proud singer.

Still active and with no intention of stopping, the next release will be “Amor Amigo”.

Homage to Marília Mendonça

Roberta Miranda will also pay tribute to Marília Mendonça on the show. Nearing the end of a year since the death of Sertaneja who died on November 5th as a victim of a plane crash the two had an unbreakable relationship. The singer, by the way, claims to have been very devastated by the death of her friend because she thought she was a daughter.

“I bring her a tribute on my show. I saw Marília as a daughter. I call small seeds what the great tree plants and bears wonderful fruit. […] Marília had a way of talking about empowerment with newbie Feminejo. She left a great legacy.”
