The moderator and entrepreneur Roberto Justus, 67, said in a video posted on Instagram this Sunday (6) that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer during an annual checkup.

“Hi. I came to share a personal matter with you, but I felt it important to tell you because I think it can help a lot of people. Anyone who knows me knows I’m very strict about that I am a person who takes care of himself, too much, I have never had an addiction, I have never smoked cigarettes, I do not drink alcohol etc. Every year I discovered a diverticulum in the bladder, a cyst that had one solid thing inside,” he said.

Then the businessman explained that he had already undergone a surgical procedure. “Dr. Gustavo Caserta Lemos, my urologist, a fantastic doctor by the way, decided that we have to operate immediately, that it could be a malignant tumor. We wouldn’t know until we went invasive, but it was removed in time. Because I took an exam. And because cancer, if we treat it early, is not a death sentence for anyone. 70, 80% of cancer cases treated early are curable. especially those who are over 40 years old. This physical strength I have, this determination I have will be very important allies for me to get rid of this problem,” he added.

Justus also explained that although he has already removed the tumor, he has to undergo chemotherapy. “Dr. Fernando Maluf said that I will do a preventive treatment to prevent any cell [cancerígena] escaped my body. I did a general exam yesterday and nothing came up, I’m clean. However, it may have escaped scrutiny. So I’m going to do preventive chemotherapy for 12 weeks, just 8 sessions. This is very important to eliminate any risk and to guarantee a lasting cure,” he explained.

The presenter also said that upon learning he had to have the treatment, a friend commented on the hair, which he has always prided himself on remaining spotless. “This chemotherapy can have some side effects, which is normal and I will face them all. Hair can fall out, but the priority of vanity goes far at this moment, it doesn’t matter at all,” he pointed out.

“It’s a short period of time close to my whole life and close to everything I want to have ahead of me. So zero vanity, no problem if my hair falls out, I’m calm. Now the priority is to look for my health and make sure that I still have plenty of time next to my family, my children, my wife and everyone I love so much”, the entrepreneur concludes.
