The tense situation in Israel continues to heat up. Radical Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israel again on Thursday night. One missile landed in an underdeveloped area in the southern Israeli city of Sderot, the second did not fly very far and landed in Gaza itself, the Israeli army said.

On Thursday morning, in retaliation, the Israeli Air Force carried out several attacks on military installations in the Gaza Strip, including an underground rocket engine production facility, the army said. “This will severely affect Gaza’s missile manufacturing capacity,” the army said. The latest escalation was preceded by days of unrest and violent attacks in Jerusalem.
