Rockstar becomes Dolly Parton’s most popular album – TVA Nouvelles

Rock star became Dolly Parton’s highest-charting album in the United States.

The music icon’s 49th solo album, which she released on November 17, rose to No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release, making the country star’s first rock album her highest-charting album to date.

“Wow, what a thrill!” I have to thank the fans who have always been there for me. Your support made this feat possible. “I would also like to thank my producer Kent Wells, all the wonderful artists, musicians and engineers who contributed their talents to this project,” she said in a statement.

Numerous artists are represented on the 30-track LP, including Dolly Parton’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus, but also Elton John, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Stevie Nicks. The album marks the first album from the country singer, whose career has spanned six decades since her 2014 album Blue Smoke reached the Top 10 on the Billboard charts. The singer also appeared in the Top 10 after releasing “Trio” in 1987 with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris.

According to a press release, Rockstar delivered the 77-year-old star’s best debut week to date and best sales week in 30 years.

Rockstar was unveiled a year after the Jolene singer was officially inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
