How was Ronald Ojeda's body found in Chile?
Prosecutor Barros explained that the body of Ronald Leandro Ojeda Moreno, a refugee in Chile since 2018, was discovered buried under cement on Friday, March 1. “In the afternoon, a body was found buried in a suitcase under a concrete structure,” he said, before identifying that the body was that of the former Venezuelan military man.
Likewise, the prosecutor who is leading the investigation in this case and also coordinating the Organized Crime and Homicide Team (ECOH) in Santiago, described the incident as a complex operation related to organized crime.

Are there suspects in Ronald Ojeda's death?
Prosecutor Héctor Barros has confirmed that there are suspects in the case, including a 17-year-old Venezuelan youth whose arrest was made as part of the investigation.
This person, found in an irregular situation in Chile, is considered a key element in the complex mystery that researchers are trying to solve. However, his exact role in the events is still being determined, and prosecutors remain tight-lipped about the specific details linking him to Ojeda's crimes.

In addition to this arrest, the whistleblower noted that there are additional arrest warrants outstanding, indicating that the network of suspects is broad and authorities are closing in on additional people involved.
What is the connection between the Aragua train and the death of Ronald Ojeda?
The murder of Ronald Ojeda has exposed speculation and raised questions about the influence of organized crime in South America, particularly the Tren de Aragua, the criminal group originally from Venezuela. This gang's connection to the Ojeda case is not direct, but crime patterns and connections identified by authorities suggest that its members are related.
The manner in which the assassination of the former military man was carried out and how his body was hidden refers to methods previously linked to the Aragua train. In June 2023, similar cases were reported in the far north of Chile, where two men were buried in comparable ways in events linked to the same criminal group.

In addition, the arrest of the 17-year-old, the search for other suspects and the silence of the kidnappers, who at no time asked for a ransom, indicate motives that go beyond ordinary crime, suggesting the possibility of such an operation. Planned with specific goals as the above group operates frequently.
