Ronda Rousey discreetly returns to the world of wrestling – RDS

Last August, at WWE’s summer classic SummerSlam, Ronda Rousey ended her second stint with the company when she took on her friend Shayna Bazzer between the cables.

After a prolific career in mixed martial arts and amateur judo, Rousey made her first notable break into the WWE in 2015 when The Rock “fished” her out of the crowd for an appearance at WrestleMania 31. Rousey subsequently appeared more frequently on WWE television until he became a full-time employee in 2018. With this announcement, the former UFC champion became actively involved in WWE’s storylines until he became champion organization.

She then took time off to start a family with her husband, fighter Travis Browne.

Then, in January 2022, she was back with the organization with a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble. She then spent over a year full-time with WWE before announcing her departure after SummerSlam last summer.

During her two stints with WWE, Ronda Rousey won the Smackdown Championship twice, the Raw Championship once, the Tag Team Championship once and won the Royal Rumble in 2022.

At least that was the observation of many, that his departure signaled a retirement from the wrestling world.

However, “Rowdy” Ronda made a comeback between cable networks in October and appears to be planning a return to the independent scene.

After making a surprise appearance at a Lucha VaVOOM event in Los Angeles on October 27, where she teamed with Marina Shafir, Ronda Rousey confirmed her presence at a benefit night for veteran Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver promotion.

In the main event of the evening, which takes place on November 16th in California, Rousey and Shafir will face former WWE Athena and her partner Billie Starkz.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to a foundation that helps victims of the Lahaina wildfires. in Hawaii.

Rousey, 36, could fight for several more years if the will is there. Is this the start of another chapter in his career? Only the future will tell us.
