Roxane Bruneau is currently on her first trip to France, to the City of Lights. The singer-songwriter is there with her manager, her director and some friends who wanted to take her on this 6-day trip. The Journal reached her by phone while she was in the middle of a shopping spree.

Between two professional meetings, the 32-year-old artist takes the opportunity to visit the main monuments of the French capital. She wants to make the most of it before returning on Saturday. The proof: she had to buy new shoes because her feet suffered from the 23,000 steps recorded on Tuesday.

“I’d love to come and do shows in the corner of Paris,” she said. I also wanted to immerse myself in French culture and learn to speak well, because not everyone understands me at the moment (laughs). »

She asked her 218,000 Instagram followers for advice on how to “talk better to survive in Paris” in a comedic video earlier this week.

Inspiring confidences

Roxane Bruneau also receives thanks from her many admirers. This was the case on February 5, after the broadcast of La vrai nature, a program in which she took part with presenter Benoit Gagnon and businesswoman Danièle Henkel. The singer confided in her about her anxiety disorder and the benefits she feels since she decided to take medication.

“A lot of people have written to me saying it was good for them and they’re glad I talked about it on TV,” she says.

She confirms that it was her fear “at the idea of ​​sleeping in a chalet with strangers” that led her to turn down previous invitations from Jean-Philippe Dion and his team. “I said yes because the medication really makes me feel better,” adds the singer, who will star in an hour-long documentary to be shown on TVA later this year. We will narrate the journey of his year 2022.
