‘We’ve all been through that!’ Royal fans go wild as Zara Tindall ‘struggles to stay up during Coronation’ after partying with Mike until 2am the night before in London
Zara Tindall has sent royal fans wild as she “struggled to stay awake” at the coronation after partying with her husband Mike until 2am in London the night before.
On Friday night, Princess Anne’s 41-year-old daughter joined her mother, husband Mike, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew for a family dinner at Oswald’s private club in Mayfair.
After this, Zara and Mike, 44, continued their evening at the nearby Arts Club, where they left around 2am and were photographed searching the street for a taxi home.
Just over eight hours later, the mother-of-three looked remarkably fresh as she took her seat at Westminster Abbey – where she sat between her brother Peter Phillips, 45, and her husband.
However, footage shared on social media after the ceremony shows the King appears to be struggling to stay awake while guests await the arrival of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Royal fan account @hrhzara posted a clip of Zara on TikTok showing the Queen resting her eyes for a few moments before the coronation begins.
The 40-second video begins with Zara staring into the distance from the third row – where Prince Harry was also sitting.
The mother-of-three, dressed in a blue and white tailored dress by designer Laura Green, then discreetly closes her eyes for a few seconds.
Although viewers were convinced Zara had “fallen asleep,” the video ends with the mother looking animated as she strikes up a conversation with Princess Eugenie in the row before.
The clip has garnered over 75,000 likes since it was uploaded on Sunday – prompting fans to praise the “relatable” king.

“When you go out at night but have a family gathering in the morning,” added another. ‘We’ve all been through that.’
“Just giving her eyes a little rest,” wrote a third. Meanwhile, a fourth joked: “She only checked the inside of her eyelids.”

“I love Zara and Mike so much,” said a fifth. “You are so down to earth.”
Mike and Zara Tindall were pictured leaving Oswalds in Mayfair at 11pm the night before the coronation.
A witness told Web: “After leaving Oswalds, they continued partying in the evenings at the nearby Arts Club, where they left around 2am.”
The witness added that the Tindalls were then seen “stumbling in the street while taking the whole coronation flag before getting in a cab home”.

It comes after the royals reunited at a big family dinner at Oswald’s.
The Tindalls attended along with Andrew and children Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands, Anne and her husband the Kents and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
Oswald’s is owned by British entrepreneur Robin Birley, who also owns and operates 5 Hertford Street, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their first date.
Oswald’s is the most exclusive of London’s private members’ clubs, with Queen Consort and Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie among those visiting the venue.
Named after the owner’s grandfather, Birley, it’s a club for both men and women – with a focus on wine.
