Royal flush! New sleek smart toilets with hand gestures and Amazon Alexa are on display at CES — and they cost up to $10,000

A new smart toilet debuting at CES brings new meaning to the term “porcelain throne.”

Attendees at the Las Vegas event were able to feast their eyes on equipment manufacturer Kholer's innovative toilets, which feature voice activation, touch screens and high prices.

At $4,500, the Veil includes a range of services like pulsating spray options and an automatic deodorizer, while Amazon's Alexa powers the top-of-the-line Numi, which costs around $10,000.

The company introduced a cheaper option – the $1,200 PureWash E930 bidet, which connects to your home internet and has voice controls.

The Veil seemed to be the star of the show with its numerous features to treat your butt: adjustable spray pattern, water pressure and position; a pulsating spray option; heated water; warm air drying; automatic deodorizer and UV sterilization; LED lighting; and a seat that opens and closes with a flick of the wrist.

These features can be controlled via a wall-mounted touchscreen, but this toilet also has some automatic features.

As soon as you sit down, it begins sucking air from the bowl through a carbon filter to proactively eliminate odors.

And when you're done, you can choose between a partial or full rinse.

If you're up for a truly luxurious bathroom experience, Kohler also offers the Numi 2.0, which has been on display for a few years but attracted many curious onlookers at CES.

As you approach it, move your foot under the edge to open the seat.

It has all of the Veil's high-end features and is Alexa-enabled, so you can control it with your voice.

With a backup power supply, you can perform up to 100 flushes in the event of a power outage in your home.

A smooth silver button mounts on the wall and can be used to control toilet functions.

In the cheaper price segment, Kohler also presented a bidet toilet seat at the electronics trade fair, the PureWash E930.

This bidet is meant to compete with a few other add-on options, but it sets itself apart with a lot of electronic bells and whistles – or rather, fans and heaters.

It fits any elongated toilet Kohler chose because it is a standard design in the USA.

The auxiliary bidet connects to your water and power supplies, so professional installation may be required if you're not that handy.

It connects to your home internet and has voice control. So if you're in a hurry, you can call Alexa to open the lid while you go to the toilet.

The bidet also features UV light to kill bacteria, a heated seat, and an air dryer when you're done.

Like the driver's seats of some newer cars, it allows you to set up individual user profiles. So if you like the seat warm but your spouse doesn't, you can program those preferences and switch between two user profiles.

Programmable settings also include front shower, rear shower and water temperature

For a special pleasure, the massage function sends blasts of water downwards.

Or if there are kids in the house, you can set it up with a smaller spray pattern so it doesn't spray too much and make a mess.

A replaceable capsule contains a refreshing spray that can mask unpleasant odors.

All of these functions can also be activated via the control panel, which is mounted on the wall nearby.
