The Pan India Phenomenon has gathered RRR Rs. 21 to 22 million in the Hindi belts on Sunday to bring the ten-day total to Rs. 186 million. The SS Rajamouli directed epic is now on course to cross the Rs. 200 crore Club and becomes the second highest-grossing film in the times of the pandemic in the Hindi belts by surpassing Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar at the helm.
The film saw an overall uptick in business on Sunday to reach a solid total of Rs by its second weekend. 53 crore plus. Business would have been higher on Saturday and Sunday but mass tapes have slowed somewhat due to the Ramadan factor with Muslim audiences not stepping out to see cinema.
The film is now chasing the entire collections of The Kashmir Files to become the highest-grossing film of the pandemic, and the trend so far suggests it will zoom past The Kashmir Files life count by the end of its run. RRR is the second 200 crore earner for director SS Rajamouli in the Hindi belts and the first for both Jr. NTR and Ram Charan.
The film was embraced by audiences everywhere – masses and classes alike – and is on track to become one of the biggest success stories for a film with two relatively fresh faces. The run is also credited to the sheer brand value of SS Rajamouli, who is the greatest director in Indian cinema today.
