RTX 4050 and RX 7500 prices and specs leaked along

RTX 4050 and RX 7500 prices and specs leaked, along with retail prices for RX 7800, RX 7700/XT and RX 7600 XT – notebookcheck.biz

Though AMD and NVIDIA have launched the RX 7600 and RTX 4060 Ti, and the RTX 4060 is in the works, there are still plenty of next-gen GPUs in the pipeline, assuming the two companies follow already established product lines. For example, NVIDIA has yet to release the entry-level RTX 4050, while AMD is expected to release the RX 7600 XT, RX 7700/XT, and RX 7800/XT models as well. RedGamingTech’s Paul has now reported information on possible prices and specifications for many likely upcoming RDNA 3 and RTX 40 cards.

According to the leaker, the RX 7800 could be priced at $579 with 60 Compute Units (CU) and 16GB of storage. The RX 7700 XT is said to have a reduced VRAM buffer and fewer processing units with 12 GB or 54 processing units. The GPU is expected to retail for $529. These specs for the RX 7700 XT match the leaker’s previous report. Paul also shares the revised performance target for the RX 7800 XT: “slightly more than the RTX 4070”.

Likewise, the number of CPUs on the RX 7700 is expected to drop to 48, while storage capacity could remain unchanged at 12GB. The MSRP of the RX 7700 would be $479, $20 less than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB.

In addition, Paul claims that the RX 7600 XT could start at $399 with 40 CUs and 12 GB of VRAM. According to the leaker, the card may only be the RX 7600 with 16GB of memory, mimicking NVIDIA’s strategy of announcing the RTX 4060 Ti in two memory configurations.

Finally, the entry-level RX 7500 would also be available in 8GB and 6GB versions, with retail prices of $229 and $199, respectively. Both models could come with 28 CUs.

On the NVIDIA side, Paul mentions that like the RX 7500, the RTX 4050 could also come in two versions with the same 20 stream multiprocessors and 8/6GB VRAM. As a reminder, the RTX 4060 has 30 SM. The RTX 4050 6GB MSRP is said to be $199, while the 8GB version could retail for $249.

Before we wrap up, it’s important to remember that GPU prices can change quite abruptly. For example, many journalists have complained that AMD announced the price change of the RX 7600 to $269 just before the reviews were published. The prices communicated by Paul are therefore not final, as we will not be sure until the GPUs are official.
