“America’s Mayor” Rudy Giuliani hinted that he had given inspectors at the serial killer suspect’s home in Gilgo Beach “a tip that they seem to have dismissed” when he showed up at the scene over the weekend — though he didn’t give details Theory.
The former New York City mayor was reportedly driven to Rex Heuermann’s Long Island home while investigators continued to load boxes of evidence into several large trucks parked outside.
Giuliani sat in the car and spoke to several local police officers before driving off.
A spokesman for the former politician-turned-media figure told the New York Post he was there to cover the case for his livestream show America’s Mayor Live.

“Mayor Rudy Giuliani — one of the most effective federal prosecutors in American history — was on hand to cover this heinous crime as part of his hit new live stream show, ‘America’s Mayor Live,'” said Ted Goodman, Giuliani’s political adviser.
“The mayor commends everyone involved in the case, but knows there is still work to be done to ensure justice.”
On Sunday’s episode of Giuliani’s podcast, “Uncovering the Truth with Rudy Giuliani,” Donald Trump’s former personal attorney said he gave law enforcement officials a lead they appeared to have dismissed without specifying what the lead was.
He then gave every prosecutor assigned to the case a free tip: “Never try a case without going to the crime scene,” said the former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
“Go there, stay there and feel it,” he added, pointing out that prosecutors shouldn’t let others describe the crime to them – they have to be physically present themselves.
Heuermann, 59, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy and Amber Costello, all of whom were part of the notorious “Gilgo Four.”
In 2010, the bodies of four women were found along a short section of the Ocean Parkway on Long Island.
Heuermann pleaded not guilty. According to court documents, he is also the “prime suspect” in the murder of the fourth woman whose body was found 13 years ago – Maureen Brainard-Barnes.
Heuermann is a Manhattan architect who lives on Long Island near where the bodies were found.
Remains of more than 11 victims were found in the area. Investigations into the other deaths are ongoing.
Law enforcement sources have told that Heuermann, a veteran architect and father of two, has been on their radar since last year.
Prosecutors allege he used burner phones and multiple email accounts to search websites depicting sexual violence to reach sex workers and to keep up with investigations into the murders.

The calls were later traced to a location near Heuermann’s Manhattan office.
It was in this office that Heuermann built a reputation for redeveloping the New York City skyline, and Heuermann himself said he worked for clients including Catholic Charitie, NYC Department of Environmental Protection Sewerage Treatment, American Airlines, and other large John F. Kennedy tenants worked International Airport.
He is also said to have used fake names on email accounts and phones “to conduct thousands of searches related to sex workers, sadistic, torture-related pornography and child pornography.”
Many of the search terms, prosecutors claim, focused on violent sexual activity involving a minor.
According to authorities, Barthelemy’s burner phone was also used to make “taunting phone calls” to her family members in the days after her disappearance, with a male voice admitting to killing and sexually assaulting her.
On Sunday, investigators were back inside collecting box after box of evidence, which was loaded into large vehicles.
Apparently, employees from several authorities were on site in the apartment of the alleged serial killer. Some wore masks, hairnets, gloves and plastic coats while handling the sensitive materials.
