We know that Bruce Willis is seriously ill; Suffering from dementia, he ended his acting career and has since lived secluded from the sets, surrounded by his family. It is his children and his wife who spread his news sporadically, but enough to reassure his fans. This Tuesday, December 19, Rumer, his 35-year-old eldest daughter, participated in the game of secrets by asking through her Instagram account some questions about her life, her father's health and … the choice of first name answered her newborn.
Born last April, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, the first child of the Rumer Willis-Derek Thomas couple, has a somewhat unusual name: “A mix of things I like,” explains the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. “I always liked the name Lou because it's neither a girl's nor a boy's first name,” she adds, adding, “And when we found out it was a girl, we thought of Louetta.” But there's still another explanation: “We wanted to give him a first name that unites the artists that dad and I love,” says Rumer Willis. It’s “Louie [sic] Armonstrong for Lou, Etta James for Etta and Isley Borthers for Isley,” explains the young mother. Between nods to her father and – we understand – shared moments with him, Bruce Willis' granddaughter's first name is at least original. A tribute to the career of the American actor that little Louetta will carry throughout her life. Like a sixth sense?
