Speculating about the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps even more important than watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors from the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important note: Rumors are just that – rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating in the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track the veracity of the rumors in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back, which you can find here. Remember to take everything with caution.
Rumors for this day:
- Brock Lesnar won’t be back in WWE until next year’s Royal Rumble, says the Wrestling Observer.
- According to PW Insider, “the expectation” on SmackDown last week was that Becky Lynch would be the final member of the Bianca Belair team at Survivor Series for War Games.
- On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that John Cena required surgery on both elbows after his last appearance in WWE, and he speculates that this could mean that Cena will have a WrestleMania match in the future, but not much else.
- Meltzer also said that booking LA Knight on SmackDown last week was aimed at “getting him strong again.”
- On his Fightful Select Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp said he doesn’t hear much about “passive aggressive stuff” between WWE wrestlers: “All I hear in WWE is that it’s a pretty good locker room, especially in the last year and a half.”
- The WWE website advertises Sheamus on the November 25th, December 8th and December 15th episodes of SmackDown, which is an indication that he will be back very soon after his injury.
