Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favorite pastime of many fans, perhaps the second most popular pastime after watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors of the day:
- Becky Lynch’s ex Jeff Dye was on the Freddie Prinze podcast recently and spoke about Lynch and Charlotte Flair breaking up. Dye claims Flair took the feud with Lynch personally: “I would listen [Becky] be like, ‘I can’t believe Charlotte is getting really mad at me.'”
- Dye also said, “Charlotte had a difficult time when Becky started becoming the face of the female wrestling thing.”
- Sasha Banks stirred the internet pot again when she tweeted“One of my biggest dreams came true today” early Wednesday morning (US time; Banks is in Japan ahead of her announced New Japan debut next week).
It didn’t happen, but Fightful Select said there had been a lot of internal discussion at AEW over whether Wardlow would win Samoa Joe’s TNT title at Dynamite last night.
- Sources also told Fightful that we should get some WWE 2K announcements in January. wrestling match Brandon Thurston pointed out months ago that Take-Two Interactive listed WWE 2K23 in its summer report as a release before the end of March.
- When Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff recently swapped takes via their respective podcasts on AdFreeShows.com, Tony Schiavone chimed in to say he thinks they’re likely to work: “…you have to remember that both Bischoff and Flair are full it’s shit.”
