Russell Brand apparently received a standing ovation during a performance at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening after being accused of rape and sexual assault.
According to a video published by Web, Brand performed his bipolar show at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theater and received a rapturous reception.
He came to the scene after The Times of London, Sunday Times and Channel 4 investigated that he raped and sexually assaulted four women between 2006 and 2013.
Brand vehemently denies the allegations and said they were part of a coordinated campaign by the “mainstream media” to silence him.
Brand is said to have told the Wembley crowd: “I love you. I love you. Thank you very much. There are some things I can’t talk about, and hopefully you appreciate me giving you everything I have.”
At the event, a woman was seen holding a sign that read, “We stand with you, Russell.” Stay strong. Stay free. We love you.”
Sky News previously published footage of Brand entering the performance.
