Russell Wilson turns the page on his 10-year run as quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
“SEATTLE, I love you. Forever grateful,” Wilson tweeted on Wednesday, adding his Seahawks number “3.”
Wilson was traded to the Broncos in an epic deal on Tuesday, just hours after Aaron Rodgers announced his decision to return to Green Bay.
Wilson’s tweet marks his first post since the trade that sent him to the AFC West, where the quarterback pool is large and includes Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Derek Carr.
The deal won’t go official until the start of the new NFL calendar year on March 16.
Seattle, I love you.
Forever grateful.
No. 3.

Wilson’s wife Ciara shared his farewell tweet on her Instagram stories with a white heart emoji. Her Instagram has been inundated with comments about her husband’s move to Denver since the news broke.
The couple made headlines last week after the Super Bowl champion surprised the Grammy-winning singer with a proposal (even though they’re already married) while Ciara hosted The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ahead of Wilson’s Seattle tweet, he was first photographed on Wednesday following a deal with his agent Mark Rogers. They are all smiling as they pose together in front of a private jet.
