Drone footage shows destruction in Mariupol following Russian attacks
A drone video has surfaced showing alleged Russian military attacks and destruction in the eastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
According to Fox News’ Lucas Tomlinson, officials there say about 2,500 of its residents were killed during the Russian invasion.

One person died Monday and three were injured in an airstrike by Russian aircraft on a residential building in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, the Associated Press reported, citing local authorities.
Footage taken after the airstrike showed the building engulfed in flames as rescuers evacuated those inside.
Israel to Russian oligarchs: there is no way around sanctions
Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Monday warned Russian oligarchs that his country “will not become a way to bypass the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and other Western countries.”
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating this issue with partners, including the Bank of Israel, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Airports Authority, the Ministry of Energy and others,” he said.
Lapid’s comments come after Israeli media reported that private jets owned by oligarchs have landed in Israel in recent days, the Associated Press reported.
Over the past few years, several dozen Russian Jewish tycoons are believed to have obtained Israeli citizenship or residency. Many have a good working relationship with the Kremlin, and at least four — Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich, Mikhail Fridman, Pyotr Aven and Viktor Vekselberg — have faced international sanctions for alleged ties to Putin.
Israel automatically grants citizenship to anyone of Jewish origin. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union 30 years ago, about 1 million Jews from Russia and other former Soviet republics have moved to Israel.

Tatyana Perebiynis, 43, her son Nikita, 18, and daughter Alisa, 9, were killed by Russian mortar fire in Ukraine as they tried to board a bus to flee the country, KTVU reported.

China denies Russian request for military assistance: report
A spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Washington, D.C. has apparently denied reports that Russia has contacted his government to request military assistance.
“I have never heard of this,” spokesman Liu Pengyu said, according to Reuters.
“The current situation in Ukraine is really confusing,” Pengyu added. “The top priority now is to prevent the tense situation from escalating or even spiraling out of control.”

Russia asks for military assistance from China before invading Ukraine
Russia has asked China for military and economic assistance in the war against Ukraine, Fox News confirmed.
The request for military equipment came after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
The news comes as White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan prepares to meet with Chinese foreign policy adviser Yang Jiechi in Rome on Monday.
Chinese leaders have so far refused to criticize Putin for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and have criticized Western economic sanctions.
China abstained in several UN votes to condemn Russia.
Despite predictions by some officials that Russian forces could take Kyiv within 72 hours of the invasion, the Ukrainians were able to defend their capital and halt the Russian advance.
