The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the oil refinery in the city of Belgorod attacked by Ukrainian army helicopters had nothing to do with the Russian army and that the airports of the Ukrainian cities of Poltava and Dnipro were attacked with precision weapons.
Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov in a statement reported that 40 military infrastructure facilities in Ukraine were destroyed this Friday.
“The Russian army and the supposedly separatist administrations in Donbass have seized some settlements in Ukraine, and the fuel tanks of the oil refinery in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk have been hit with a high-precision weapon.
“Since the beginning, a total of 124 aircraft and 82 helicopters, 357 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,854 tanks and various armored vehicles, 202 multi-barreled rocket launchers, 777 howitzers and mortars, and 1,722 military special vehicles have been destroyed,” he said.
Konashenkov noted that two Mi-24 helicopters from the Ukrainian army broke into Russian airspace yesterday and attacked the oil refinery in the city of Belgorod.
“As a result of the missile impact, some fuel tanks were damaged and caught fire. Fuel for civilian vehicles was supplied from said facility. The oil refinery has nothing to do with the Russian armed forces,” she added.
