As the company explained this Sunday on its official Telegram page, “since the start of the evacuation operation, a total of 408 Russians living in the Gaza Strip and their relatives have been transferred to Moscow.”
The statement said that more than 550 people had crossed the Gaza-Egypt border so far, including 230 children.
Once the refugees leave the Gaza Strip, they will be sent to Egypt’s capital, from where they will fly to Moscow, where they will be accommodated in emergency shelters and receive medical care, the Emergencies Ministry said.
Since October 9, Israel has kept the Palestinian enclave of Gaza without basic services and ordered hundreds of thousands of civilians to move to the south of the enclave, where these days international humanitarian aid is arriving in drops through the Rafah border crossing on the border with Egypt.
Many countries called on Israel for a ceasefire; There are also increasing voices for a two-state solution as the only way to achieve lasting peace in the region.
So far, the hostilities in Israel have left about 1,200 dead and almost 5,500 injured, and more than 12,000 people have died and 29,000 injured among Gazans suffering from indiscriminate bombing by the Israeli army.
