Russian personnel and troops withdraw from the plant. According to the Kiev secret service, the attack could take place at night

Russian troops and personnel are gradually withdrawing from the Moscow-held Zaporiya nuclear power plant in Ukraine. However, this may not bode well.

According to Kiev, the Kremlin would like to cause an accident at the plant and then blame Ukraine. Managers of Rosatom, the Russian company that manages the plant, contrary to international law, advised its employees and workers, including those of Ukrainian origin, to leave the plant and seek refuge in Crimea.

President Zelenskyy reminded that Moscow is using scorched earth tactics, leaving only rubble, to stop the Ukrainian advance. “We now have information from our intelligence service that the Russian military placed explosive-like objects on the roof of several units of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. Maybe to simulate an attack on the plant.” This shows that the only threat to the nuclear power plant is Russia and no one else.”

In the nearby town, civilians have long been subjected to drills in the event of an accident. People seem aware of the risks. However, many do not think about leaving for the time being, since they spend their entire existence here. Moscow and Kiev pre-emptively assume responsibility for an accident, but it seems hard to believe that in the midst of the offensive, Ukraine will decide to unleash a nuclear blast exactly where its troops are advancing.

In the meantime, the Russian army has gradually withdrawn from some positions. The problem is that it has left behind thousands of anti-personnel mines, banned by international conventions, in much of the territory. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian resistance continues, also thanks to the armaments supplied by the West.
