Russia, Putin recognizes mistakes in mobilization: analysis

The President’s words, according to Gb Intelligence, “highlight the dysfunctions in mobilization in their first week”.

By acknowledging in a timely manner the existence of problems with Russia’s “partial mobilization” for the war in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin has effectively exposed its malfunction. This is what the British secret service writes in the latest situation report from the London Ministry of Defence. “On September 29, 2022, it is said, President Putin addressed his National Security Council on the ‘partial mobilization’ he announced on September 21. Putin said: ‘Many questions will be raised during this mobilization campaign and we must immediately correct our mistakes and not repeat them'”.

“Putin’s unusually quick recognition of the existence of problems, it said, highlights the dysfunctions in mobilization during his first week. Local officials are probably not clear on the exact scope and logic of the campaign. They have almost certainly recruited personnel beyond the characteristics stated by Putin and the MoD. And while enlisted reservists continue to congregate in transit camps, it’s likely that Russian officials are making every effort to ensure training and find officers to lead the new units.
