Russia reports military actions in special operation in Ukraine

Official sources reported on Monday that Russian forces conducted a successful long-range and precision missile attack against command centers, radars, aviation equipment, and weapons and ammunition depots at Ukrainian airports.

“Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a long-range, precision-aircraft strike against enemy targets at airfields,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

Three ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the territory of the Russian special military operation, Konashenkov said.

This Monday’s military report comes as a counteroffensive by Ukraine is expected after Russian troops captured the town of Artiomovsk (Bakhmyut for Ukraine).

In Donetsk and Zaporizhia, airstrikes and artillery fire from the Vostok group defeated units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Wuhledar (DPR), Malinovka, Belogorye and Kamenskoye in the Zaporizhia region.

Another ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed in the area of ​​Otradnoe settlement (DPR), he said.

“In the direction of Kupyansk, airstrikes and artillery fire from the western group of troops hit enemy units in the Novomlynsk, Kislovka, Glushkovka oblasts, the Kharkov region and the settlements of Stelmahovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” he said.

The official representative of the Ministry of Defense added that “in the areas of the settlements of Zinkovka in the Kharkiv region and Rozovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), the actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were stopped.”

He said that in the Krasno-Limansky direction, operational-tactical and army aviation artillery fire of the “Centre” group of troops defeated enemy units in the areas of the settlements of Makeevka, Chervonaya Dibrova of the Lugansk People’s Republic and Grigorovka (DPR).

In the Donetsk direction, he said, as a result of active unit deployments, airstrikes and artillery fire from the Southern Group, up to 145 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks and a D-30 howitzer were stationed during the day.

Russia also launched another missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital last night, just 18 hours after Sunday’s largest drone strike against Kiev.

Six hours after the last bombardment, the 15th this month, Russian forces launched a second ballistic missile attack on the capital.
