Russia reports shooting down of several drones news

According to its own statements, Russia shot down five Ukrainian drones overnight. Four drones were intercepted off the coast of the Crimean peninsula, the fifth in the Istra district of Moscow’s capital region, authorities said. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said there were no reports of damage from debris.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of the peninsula, which was annexed in violation of international law. Thus, two drones were intercepted on the northwest coast of Crimea and two more on the east coast. It did not provide any information about possible damage or victims.

Ukraine has been carrying out attacks on the territory of the aggressor, Russia, for months. The recapture of the Crimean peninsula is one of Kiev’s most important war objectives, which in the ongoing counteroffensive wants to cut the supply lines between Crimea and Russia that cross the occupied territory of southern Ukraine.
