MOSCOW, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) — Russian news agency TASS reported on Wednesday that a Russian FPV (first person view) drone identified as “Piranha” destroyed the first U.S.-made Abrams tank in Ukraine .
A representative of the “Piranha” design bureau from Simbirsk in the western Russian city of Ulyanovsk told TASS about the incident.
According to TASS, the representative received information from a customer who corresponded with the crew commander of the battalion that hit the tank.
“They confirmed it was our piranha. Later, this message was reported on the news and shared on Telegram channels, along with a recording of Abrams being burned,” the representative explained.
There was no immediate response from Ukraine or the United States. End
