Russia has drawn up a plan to “absorb” Belarus by 2030, according to research.
Russia developed a strategy in 2021 to “absorb” Belarus in 2030 by seizing control of the neighboring country’s politics, economy and military potential, according to a document from the presidential administration to which the ex-oligarch’s Centro Dossier and opponent in exile Mikhail Khodorkovsky. This is a document developed by the Kremlin together with the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Military Intelligence Service (GUR) and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, and is in the possession of Estonian journalists, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the USA, Germany, Sweden and Poland, says Dossier. “The Kremlin wanted to align Belarusian legislation with Russian ones, direct the republic’s foreign policy in the interests of Russia, increase the military presence on the territory of Belarus, achieve the supremacy of the Russian language over the Belarusian language, and grant Russian citizenship to Belarusians.
