Russia says it repelled a Ukrainian attack on a Russian warship tasked with protecting gas pipelines in Turkish waters.
“Ukrainian forces tried unsuccessfully to attack the Black Sea Fleet ship Ivan Churs (…),” Russia’s Ministry of Defense said today via Telegram. Three unmanned craft, also known as drones, were destroyed.
The attack took place this morning “140 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus”, when the Russian ship was “performing tasks for the safe operation of the ‘Turkish Stream’ and ‘Blue Stream’ gas pipelines”.
