Russia reported on Thursday (26) that it discussed the issue of releasing the hostages and evacuating Russians from the Gaza Strip at a meeting with Hamas in Moscow.

The Foreign Ministry said: “A member of the political cabinet of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, Abu Marzuk, is in Moscow.”

According to Tass news agency, the Palestinian delegation met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia’s special envoy for the Middle East and Africa.

The meeting discussed “the immediate release of foreign hostages in the Gaza Strip and the issue of ensuring the evacuation of Russian and foreign citizens from the territory of the Palestinian enclave.”

In response, the Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman wrote on social media: “Hamas is a terrorist organization worse than ISIS.” [Estado Islâmico]. Israel condemns the invitation of Hamas representatives to Moscow. An act of support for terrorism that legitimizes atrocities. We call on the Russian government to expel the terrorists immediately.”
