As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, Russia has accused the United States of wanting to facilitate the use of chemical or biological weapons without evidence yet. Washington denies these accusations, and the American president warns Moscow in case of chemical attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

The UN Security Council met on Friday as a matter of urgency to discuss the issue of chemical weapons. At Russia’s request, Moscow accuses the US without evidence of developing unconventional weapons in Ukraine. The Americans deny this and suspect Russia of manipulation. In addition to the arms exchange between the Russians and the Americans, the White House is worried about a Syrian-style scenario involving the use of chemical weapons against the population.

Russia is known for using unconventional weapons

Faced with the conflict that is simmering in Ukraine, Russians already accused of bombing civilians may sink a little more into horror, something American intelligence agencies especially fear.

On Friday, US President Joe Biden threatened Vladimir Putin in the event of a chemical attack: “I will not talk about intelligence, but Russia will pay a high price if it uses chemical weapons.”

It must be said that Russia is notorious for the use of unconventional weapons. Why should Americans worry, because we remember the former Russian agent Sergei Skripal or opponent Alexei Navalny, poisoned with the Novichok nerve agent.

What about Bashar al-Assad’s chemical strikes on his people in Syria with the help of the Russians? For its part, Moscow is stepping up pressure and unsubstantiatedly accusing Washington of wanting to use chemical weapons in Ukraine. The charges are also transferred by China. But the great danger for Americans that defies words is that Putin is already preparing minds for the imminent use of chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine.
