NATO in contact with Poland
Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Army General Staff and the heads of the secret services. The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, called a meeting of the National Security Cabinet and also informed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the incident.
“NATO stands in solidarity with our valued ally, we are monitoring the situation and staying in touch as the facts are established,” said Stoltenberg. A US State Department spokesperson told the PAP news agency that they were in constant contact with Poland's leadership and took the security of NATO allies very seriously.
