This is the moment when a Russian soldier cried while talking to his mother on the phone after surrendering to the Ukrainians.
Footage shows a young fighter in Putin’s forces being comforted by a group of women after dropping his weapon.
He is then seen drinking tea and eating pasta while another woman offers him a phone.
The young prisoner of war then kisses while his mother responds and bursts into tears.
A male voice is heard outside the camera, saying in Ukrainian: “These young men are not guilty. They don’t know why they are here. They use old cards, they are lost.
The emotional video, shared on Twitter, shows local Ukrainians welcoming the soldier with food after his reported broadcast.
There was an inscription: “Russian soldiers, surrender, the Ukrainian people will feed you, just surrender.”
The footage came when Ukraine’s defense ministry said Russian mothers could come to Kyiv to pick up their captured sons.

If they want to pick up the child, they will have to travel to Kaliningrad or Minsk in Belarus before taking a taxi to the Polish border, where they can then be escorted to a transfer point.
