Ukraine released a viral video showing the dramatic moment Drones they struck successfully Russian tanks on the front line. “Competent National Guard drone operators shot down a Russian tank before destroying another that was approaching for evacuation,” Ukraine's Defense Ministry wrote on Twitter late Friday, along with a two-minute video from an unspecified location.

Ukrainian war, the tanks lost by the Russians
During the 23 months of war, Russia lost 736 T-80 tank and a total of 2,666 tanks, according to the latest data from the Oryx website, which tracks losses on both sides using open sources to verify the numbers. Ukraine assumes a much higher number. At the beginning of the video there is an illustrative color image of a T-80 tank that appears to have no relation to the footage below. The footage begins with two tanks driving along a highway from the perspective of a drone that appears to be following the vehicles. A rocket is dropped on the first tank and an explosion occurs. “When hitting the driver’s seat, the vehicle loses control,” the caption reads in Ukrainian. The car turns to the right before hitting a natural obstacle, probably an embankment, and coming to a stop. A soldier is seen running out of the left side of the tank and running away before another explosion hits the vehicle, which then bursts into flames.
Tank hit, three more explosions
Another sequence shows missiles being dropped on what appears to be the other tank shown at the beginning of the footage. There are three explosions before the video cuts to black. As of Saturday, the footage had been viewed more than 155,000 times. Previously, the Ukrainian military boasted about the impact that U.S.-donated Bradley infantry fighting vehicles had on Russian tanks, including their most advanced vehicle, the T-90M.
