Rt TV broadcast a video wishing Europe a “Merry Anti-Russian Christmas”. The commercial begins with an outdated scene 2021: A family gathers under the tree and the little girl is given a hamster. In the next scene, set a year later, the room is lit only by candles and the hamster spins on its running wheel to power a dynamo. The last scene is from Christmas 2023: The three are gathered around a table again and are eating soup. When the father realizes that it was done to the hamster, he gets up and leaves. “Merry ‘anti-Russian’ Christmas” is the English lettering that ends the spot. With an invitation: «If your media doesn’t tell you where this is all leading, RT is available via VPN». The television is one of those sanctioned by the European Union.
