RXBAR is offering a reward for customers who take on an unusual New Year's challenge – moving their sofa.
The protein bar brand announced the competition on Monday. Anyone who commits to moving their sofa for 30 days can enter a contest to win a cash reward of $2,500, which RXBAR says will be used to cover the “costs of moving, storage and new home fitness equipment.”
“During the cold winter months, the sofa is the epitome of warmth and coziness and sometimes keeps us from staying active,” RXBAR said in a press release. “Conquering the comfort of the couch is the first step to achieving any fitness goal, which is why RXBAR® turns this common excuse into a challenge for the new year.”
“Fans who are willing to accept the Bar the Couch Pledge will be entered for a chance to win,” the statement continued.

Winners will also be eligible to receive a year's supply of RXBAR protein bars. The company said the bars have “simple ingredients.” [that will] keep you energized so you can perform at your best.
“In the spirit of No BS, the RXBAR Bar the Couch Pledge is a fun way to introduce our fans to the possibilities of a couch-free lifestyle and see what they can achieve,” said Eileen Flaherty, RXBAR Brand Marketing Director, in an explanation.
