Poehling appeared in 44 of the Flyers' 49 games this season, which could allow him to set multiple career highs. He collected 14 points and maintained a lead of -8.

The 25-year-old center had his best season in 2021-2022, collecting 17 points in 57 games for CH. The Montreal organization then sent him along with Jeff Petry to the Pittsburgh Penguins a few months later in exchange for Mike Matheson and a fourth-round pick.

A first-round pick, 25th overall in 2017, Poehling played 182 games in the National League, scoring 50 points.
