Ryan Seacrest claims Andy Cohen ignored him during sober NYE show

Ryan Seacrest claims he was ignored by Andy Cohen as they hosted their respective New Year’s Eve specials last weekend.

“It was fun because my big stage was right in front of Anderson [Cooper] and Andy,” Seacrest, 48, told Kelly Ripa during Tuesday’s episode of Live With Ryan and Kelly.

“When I wasn’t working, I was trying to get their attention.”

The American Idol host then showed Ripa, 52, waving to Cooper and Cohen, who were hosting CNN’s New Year’s Live.

“I thought I might be in the clear. I just wanted to wave and say hello. They have a great show,” Seacrest explained.

“And Anderson, the best. He turns around and says, ‘Have a good show.’ Very nice. Andy didn’t turn around.”

However, Ripa dismissed her co-host’s claims, claiming Cohen, 54, was trying to say hello to Seacrest.

“That’s not true. He said he was trying to get your attention,” the Live Wire writer said.

Page Six has reached out to Cohen’s rep for comment.

Last year, the Real Housewives producer dissed the ABC broadcast crew for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, hosted by Seacrest.

“If you look behind me you’ll see Ryan Seacrest’s squad of losers performing,” Cohen joked during the 2021 New Year’s Eve show. “I’m sorry but when you watch ABC you don’t watch anything.”

After Cohen’s comments went viral, the Watch What Happens Live host apologized for his comments.

“The only thing I regret saying, the only thing I said, is I slammed the ABC show and I really like Ryan Seacrest and he’s a great guy,” he said in last January his talk show Radio Andy.

Cohen admitted he was “just stupid and drunk” that night.

“I just kept talking and I shouldn’t have done it and I felt bad about it. So that’s the only thing [I regret]. That’s the only thing.”

Ahead of the 2022 NYE special, CNN announced that it would ban alcohol consumption for on-air talent. Of course, Cohen and Cooper, 55, found other creative ways to have some drinking fun while counting down to 2023.
