NEW YORK CITY — After six seasons on ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan,’ co-host Ryan Seacrest is saying goodbye to the beloved ABC morning talk show.
“Kelly turned the corner and said, ‘Oh my god, am I going to cry?’ And I said, ‘Maybe because it’s me,'” Seacrest said after he was last on set as an official co-host.

It’s a bittersweet moment for fans of the show, who have watched Seacrest and Ripa form a special bond and share unforgettable moments with their viewers since he joined as co-host in 2017. Kelly’s husband, actor Mark Consuelos, will take his place in Ryan’s chair starting Monday, April 17th. Mark is a fan favorite, having appeared many times as a co-host on the show over the years.
dr Jill Biden joined as a special guest to celebrate Ryan’s last day as co-host. dr Biden also spoke about April being official Military Child Month.
In addition to the historic visit of the First Lady of the United States, the special farewell episode included surprises and a look back at Ryan’s years as co-host of “Live” – television’s #1 entertainment talk show.

Fans also voted for their favorite moment with Ryan, revealed on Friday’s show: when the co-host fell off his chair.
“I am shocked!” joked Seacrest.
When Ryan announced his departure in February, he told viewers he was leaving to focus on American Idol and other projects.
Rest assured this won’t be the last of Ryan you’ll see live. He will visit from time to time.
