Rylan Clark enjoys a ride on Eamonn Holmes’ stairlift during a fun reunion

He returned to host the breakfast show on GB News last week after back surgery and a shoulder injury that meant he was off work for four months.

And on Sunday, Rylan Clark, 34, enjoyed a stairlift ride from Eamonn Holmes, 63, leaving his wife Ruth Langsford, 62, giggling during a surprise visit to The Fun Palace.

Faithful broadcaster Eamonn admitted the joyful reunion was “better than medicine” after they “laughed and laughed” as the duo shared their antics on Instagram.

While Rylan sat at the top of the spiral staircase, Ruth demanded, “Don’t break it!” as the stairlift went up.

Rylan asked, “Can I do that now? It’s the noise!’ When the stairlift made loud beeps as it went up but moved gently down, he admitted, “Oh, that’s great

The presenter started waving as he slowly walked downstairs while Ruth was heard giggling as she joked, “Sorry is that Rylan, can I have your autograph?”

Rylan then quipped to Eamonn, “Let me just say… I know you’ve been through it dad but you have an easy life here. Honestly, you could rent that out!’ to which Eamonn claimed, “It’s a jolly palace.”

The Northern Ireland breakfast show host was open to fans to explain his health issues and the recent fall that broke his shoulder

Speaking to his Instagram followers in a sit-down video ahead of his return, the presenter told GB News: “Hi everyone just to say I’ll be back tomorrow after almost four months without TV.

“Sounds like a threat, doesn’t it! No I mean you may or may not know what happened to me, I had back surgery, I had disc problems.

“I then had surgery on my back affecting one of my legs which resulted in me falling down the stairs which resulted in my shoulder being broken.

“So I had a leg that wasn’t working and a shoulder that wasn’t working and a lot of other things in between, but here I am.

“I feel like there’s only so many box sets to watch and recommend – I’m not better, but I’m better than I was.

“And I’ve decided to make an attempt to get back to work, starting tomorrow on GB News, on the basis that hopefully work will heal me.

“Any of you who are long-term ill or in any way particularly recovering at home will know that there is a lot of frustration involved.
