SAG-AFTRA Halloween guides amuse Ryan Reynolds – TVA Nouvelles

Ryan Reynolds and Mandy Moore have spoken out against SAG-AFTRA’s ban on film and television character costumes for Halloween.

The Hollywood Actors Guild recently issued guidelines asking its members not to dress up as fictional characters during the Halloween season.

“Is this a joke?” Mandy Moore asked on her Instagram Stories. “But finally @sagaftra. Is that important? »

The This Is Us star continued: “We ask that you negotiate on our behalf in good faith. So many people in all areas of this profession have made enormous sacrifices over months. Go back to the negotiating table and get a fair deal so everyone can get back to work. Please thank. »

The Deadpool star also commented on X, formerly Twitter. “I can’t wait to scream ‘scab breaker’ at my eight-year-old daughter all evening,” joked the father of four. She is not unionized but needs to learn. »

Former SAG-AFTRA President Melissa Gilbert also criticized the union’s decision. “That’s what you’re suggesting? “Literally no one cares what people wear for Halloween,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. I mean, do you really think this childish stuff is going to end the strike? How do we look? »

She added: “Please tell me you’re going to repeal this rule… and negotiate!” For heaven’s sake, people are suffering a lot and that’s what you have to say… well… That is the kind of nonsense that keeps us on strike… Come on, let’s adopt policies that make us both seem petty and incompetent. »

Members of the SAG-AFTRA union have been on strike since July. SAG-AFTRA will resume negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which represents production studios, on Tuesday (Oct. 24).
