SAG Awards 2024: Leighton Meester is effortlessly chic in a brown satin dress as she lounges on the red carpet with husband Adam Brody…after celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary

Leighton Meester turned heads while hanging out with her husband of 10 years, Adam Brody, at the 30th Annual SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 37-year-old “Gossip Girl” actress, who married the 44-year-old “The OC” actor in February 2014, attended the event at the Shrine Auditorium alongside other celebrities including Laverne Cox and Joey King.

The mother-of-two looked chic in a figure-hugging dark brown satin dress, held up by thick straps that wrapped around her shoulders.

The hem of the dress covered the shoes she wore to the festivities, and the actress easily carried a black clutch in her right hand.

Meester's brunette locks were pulled up into a stylish updo, leaving loose strands framing the sides of her face.

Leighton opted for minimal accessories, wearing a pair of dainty hoop earrings and a sparkling silver bracelet on her right wrist.

The star's make-up was classic for the event and consisted of a coat of mascara on her eyelashes and a shimmering gold eyeshadow around her eyes.

A light pink blush was applied to her cheekbones for a glow, while a pink matte shade was applied to her lips for the finishing touch.

As the beauty entered the star-studded venue, she struck various poses on the red carpet and cuddled lovingly into her husband Adam Brody.

For the occasion, the “Jennifer's Body” actor wore a dark blue suit and a black shirt that was partially open at the collar.

He completed his outfit by slipping into a pair of sleek black dress shoes that were secured with laces.

Earlier this month, on February 15, the lovebirds celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

The couple are also parents to two children: daughter Arlo, eight, and a son born in 2020, whose name has not yet been announced.

Leighton recently opened up about motherhood in a conversation with Interview Magazine in December last year – where she was also joined by Brody.

“How has motherhood changed your career?” Adam asked his wife, to which she replied, “It's inevitable that it has changed and we've had these conversations endlessly.”

“I wouldn't change a thing and I'm proud of the mother I am. “But I also feel like I'm prone to a lot of self-doubt and worry, as well as more extreme hypervigilance and neuroses,” she added.

“So I can only take it every day. But when I'm with my children, our children, I feel like all I can do is be present.”

“Then when I'm working, I miss her like crazy.” “It's hard as a mother not to feel like you're not doing enough, and I think our society continues to reinforce that,” Meester continued.

“But I think the sweet, canned answer is that it gave me a lot of compassion and a whole other level of appreciation for other people and a sensitivity that I don't think I've ever had before.”

At the SAG Awards on Saturday, Leighton proudly supported Adam as his latest film, American Fiction, received three nominations.

The comedy, which hit theaters in September 2023, picked up awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture as well as Outstanding Lead Actor by a Male Actor for Jeffrey Wright and also for Sterling K. Brown in Supporting Actor.

Other stars cast in the critically acclaimed project included Erica Alexander, Issa Rae and Tracee Ellis Ross.

The premise follows: “A novelist fed up with the establishment profiting from black entertainment writes a book under a pseudonym that drives him right into the heart of the hypocrisy and madness he claims to despise,” according to IMDB.

Not only did the film receive five Oscar nominations, but it is also nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards – including Best Picture. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 25th in Santa Monica.

The 30th Annual SAG Awards will stream on Netflix starting at 5 p.m. Pacific Time/8:00 PM AND.
