At least that’s what Jean-Sébastien Dubé, spokesman for the Union of Agricultural Producers (UPA), was able to confirm to us at the beginning of the evening on TVA Nouvelles at 6 p.m.

“It wasn’t the original plan, we would have liked to have caught them all in our operation last night. It’s a success that we sometimes look at four cows out of a possible dozen. We still hope to be able to capture them by Christmas,” he said in an interview with Marie-Claude Paradis-Desfossés.
Regarding her health, the UPA spokesman claims it has not deteriorated.
“The cows were in very good condition. […]. They could eat and drink as they pleased in the summer. There were also automatic feeders. The flock returned calmly and was transported to the owner in a safe place.

Various tactics have been tried in recent weeks to try to capture them. However, one method seems to stand out.
“Local breeders have tried to get them used to a new habit and that is mostly through food. We feed them in strategic places, then there are devices that allow their capture in a very progressive way […] We put up fences,” he said.
