In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a house was devastated by flames in Saint-Jacques in Lanaudière.
The fire broke out in the garage of a residential building on Bas-de-l’Eglise South Road, Montcalm Regional Municipality (RCM) Fire Protection Service director François Thivierge said.
The fire then spread to the rest of the home, requiring the deployment of about 30 firefighters. The firefighters of Sainte-Julienne, Rawdon and Saint-Lin-Laurentides intervened to help each other.
The event caused no injuries, but two citizens received Red Cross care.
