The economic crisis has increased the prices of consumer goods. However, one company has also decided to increase salaries. Let’s find out which one.
Inflation and the war between Ukraine and Russia are putting a strain on Italians’ pockets. In recent years we have observed significant price increases for consumer goods. Products that we previously found for just a few euros have doubled, if not tripled in price. The cost of living has therefore increased: mortgage repayments, subscription prices for the main streaming platforms, as well as water, gas and electricity bills have increased. It is becoming increasingly difficult, especially for families with large children, to make ends meet.
From October 1st, some workers will receive a salary increase – Turiweb.it
To cope with the high cost of living, the government turned to Italians. To support families and combat rising bills and fuel prices, the Mef has allocated around 1.3 billion euros. In fact, the extension of the extraordinary contribution on bills for low-income families was approved until the end of the year. In addition, a petrol bonus has been introduced, which is in addition to the discounts offered by the “Dedicated to you” card on the purchase of essential goods.
Company increases wages
Another good news concerns the salary increase. INPS has confirmed that there will be an average of 98 euros more in the paycheck in October. The reason for this is the reduction in contributions in favor of gross salaries of up to 2,962 euros (35,000 euros per year) to compensate for the loss of purchasing power due to inflation. But that’s not all: there is actually a company that has decided to increase its salaries by 21% from October 1, 2023.
Amazon employees rewarded and satisfied customers – Turiweb.it
We are talking about the e-commerce giant Amazon, which has decided to increase the wages of workers with logistics contracts. The initial gross salary is therefore 1,764 euros and this increase will also affect Italian employees. The increase, according to the multinational, is 21% compared to 2019 salaries and 8% compared to the fifth stage of the national collective agreement for the sector.
But that’s not the only advantage of working for Amazon. In fact, there are discounts and additional health insurance on the website. Additionally, there are 95% funded training courses available for those who wish to attend specific courses. In Italy, Amazon has around 60 logistics centers throughout the country and has invested over 12.6 billion euros since its arrival in our country in 2010. In 2022 alone, 4,000 employees were hired with permanent contracts.
In fact, e-commerce is the future of commerce as more and more people choose to shop online. The advantage lies not only in the time required, but also in the price: products purchased online often cost less. Amazon would therefore also like to reward and thank its employees.
