Paul spoke iai in 2013

When McCartney announced his return to the country in 2023, he joked with fans. “OK OK. I heard you. I’m going to Brazil,” he said in a video on the tour’s official website. In 1990, the former Beatle gave his first performance in the country, singing to a packed Maracanã. In 2013, Paul came during the “Out there” tour to Minas to talk to “Uai”. It debuted in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a packed Mineirão and supported the campaign for young people from Minas Gerais called “Paul comes to talk about Uai talk”.

That evening, the star called the girls who organized this event onto the stage and actually said “uai” to the delight of the audience.

In 2017, the exBeatle returned to the capital Minas Gerais and enchanted the audience. He shook during the song “And I love her” and received applause from Mineirão.

In 2019, Paul brought “The freshen up tour” to the country. But without saying “Wow”. He sang only in São Paulo and Curitiba and performed “Back in Brazil”, which he composed in honor of the Brazilians, a track from the album “Egypt Station” (2018).
