“And honestly, it’s true when he kissed me, too. I’ll share too much because comedians do.

“But when he kissed me, this phrase came to mind: ‘One often needs to be kissed by someone who knows how.’ ‘So I met someone who knows how to kiss.”

Sally, who has three sons with her ex-husband, met her new partner Ian two years after her marriage to Andrew ended in 2017.

The Miranda star is an advocate for the Down Syndrome community and collaborated with several charities and with the BBC on a documentary in 2016.

In an interview with Giovanna Fletcher as part of her 2020 Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Sally said she wanted Olly to have two siblings because she “didn’t want to leave one sibling behind to be the caregiver.”

Of the moment she was told Olly had Down syndrome, she said, “We were called back to the ER and the doctor said, ‘I’m just going to run some tests for Down syndrome.'” I said what ?” and he said “I’m sorry” and I just went into shock.

“The shock I suffered was shaking and the acting part of me thought that was so interesting.” I flutter like I’m trying to give the impression of a goose trying to emerge from a lake, that is so strange. Then they had to draw blood from my baby.

Sally said that although she was “devastated” at first, the birth of Olly made her and her family’s lives “more meaningful” and offered advice to parents of children with Down syndrome.

She said: “The way it’s going is that it’s a tremendous shock and you feel devastated for a while, but not only does everyone adapt, but often their life is made more meaningful and happier because he has the person with Down Syndrome.” It.

“Within a certain period of time, within a year.” I think depicting a major tragedy damages the parent’s bond.

“I think it’s just really important that it’s conveyed to the parents like, ‘Listen, you’re going to feel really bad and really scared for a while, but it’s incredibly rare that people don’t feel comfortable with their new family member are satisfied.”
