After the endless controversy (far from sterile) surrounding his place invasion at the end of the World Cup, Salt Bae is once again making headlines and the comments are anything but flattering. The well-known Turkish restaurateur, famous for his salt shaker on meat, has once again found himself at the center of social debate: a young Tiktoker – a big fan of the entrepreneur – shared a video on his profile in which he denounced the disrespectful behavior of part of Nusret Gökçe (chef’s real name). In the clip, the boy tells of his experiences in one of the Salt Bae chain restaurants: “He was paid $600 for coming to our table to cut our meat,” the young man accuses. But further outrage is the fact that Salt Bae showed up in the room “to talk to someone on their AirPods”. A behavior that the Tiktoker himself doesn’t hesitate to define as “super disrespectful”.
Within hours, the video went viral, garnering over 13 million views and sparking heated debate about the behavior of the steakhouse chain’s owner.
