Barry Keoghan at Saltburn
Saltburn is one of Prime Video's new yearend offerings and has garnered a lot of attention for its more adult content. Barry Keoghan, the feature's lead actor, revealed that it wasn't easy to shoot one of the film's nude scenes.
Keoghan admitted to EW that he was a little hesitant to come forward for the first take.
“The initial problem was the fact that I had no clothes on,” the actor said. “But after the first shot I was ready. I said, “Let's do it again.” Let's go again. You kind of forget about it because it creates such a comfortable atmosphere that you can say, 'Okay, now it's about the story.'”
The enthusiasm certainly helped, as they repeated the scene several times. Fennell says they filmed Keoghan dancing naked a total of 11 times.
The seventh recording was “technically perfect,” she recalls, but lacked the “absolute devilish joy” she was looking for.
“To Barry's credit, he did it four more times until he got to the one you see, who exudes a completely wicked zest for life that you just can't live without.”

Saltburn is the new film from director Emerald Fennel after he won an Oscar for the screenplay for Beautiful Revenge. Fennel also wrote the screenplay.
Carey Mulligan, who starred in Beautiful Revenge, Rosamund Pike and Archie Madekwe, Richard E. Grant and Paul Rhys complete the cast.
