Barry Keoghan posed for his most daring photoshoot yet as he took on a vampire theme for his cover spread for W Magazine.
The 31-year-old Irish actor was tutored by his Saltburn director Emerald Fennell, who was inspired by the famous line in his film “Lucky for you, I'm a vampire.”
For an eye-catching snap, Barry took off his shirt and bathed in a pool of blood.
The father-of-one wore a pair of latex gloves with fake fingernails and completed the look with a thick pearl necklace and a touch of red lipstick.
In the next photo, he took it a step further and pretended to devour a heart while sitting over a plate covered in fake blood.

The vampire-themed spread was inspired by Barry pretending to be a vampire in Saltburn, which also featured a memorable nude scene with the star
The crazy spread also saw Barry reading the novel Twilight and posing with a cup of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He then modeled a suit of armor – which would allow a vampire to go outside in daylight.
In Saltburn, Barry's character Oliver insists that he doesn't mind having sex when a girl is on her period because he's a “vampire.”
When speaking about the inspiration for the shoot, Emerald explained: “Because Barry is so theatrical and such a great physical actor, I wanted to take that literally and have him live his everyday life in London as a vampire.”
“That means reading Twilight, watching old Hammer horror movies and going to the supermarket in armor and a balaclava so he doesn’t get burned.”
In another shocking scene in the film, Barry strips naked and dances to Sophie Ellis-Bextor's “Murder on the Dance Floor.”
Speaking about the reaction to the nudity, he said: “I didn't know I could do something like that and seeing it on screen gave me huge confidence.”
“Maybe there’s something I can take along this path.”
Not wanting to push him into something that made him uncomfortable, Emerald explained, “The thing for me is, if you want to do stuff that's almost to the point, that's outrageous and fun and cool and silly, you have to “Create something.” A space where people feel like they are safe, that they are not being pushed off a cliff, and that we are all in this together.
“If Barry had changed his mind and said, 'I don't want the dance scene at the end to be in the movie,' I would have done away with it, because consent is ongoing and everyone has a say.
“But that’s exactly why Barry is remarkable.” He always wants to be at the forefront. He just finds it interesting there, and that’s how I feel too.”
During the crazy route, Barry also read the novel “Twilight” and posed with a cup of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

Discussing her vision for how audiences would watch Saltburn, Emerald continued: “Before Saltburn came out on Amazon Prime, we said everyone should watch it with their families…
“What's so funny and disturbing about the film, whether you watch it in the theater or at home, is that it will make your mother squirm in embarrassment – or maybe she thinks it's really hot.”
Barry previously revealed that his role in the psychological thriller, which also stars Australian actor Jacob Elordi, helped people stop seeing him as just a “crazy child person”.
Speaking to GQ about audiences seeing him in a different light, he said: “It's nice, man.” “It's nice to be seen as not just the weird-looking guy, the unique fucking little one Freak man-child, the freak-child man, whatever you want to call it.”
He continued, “My pretty looks haven't gotten me that far,” but admitted he realizes it opens up other avenues for me to be someone the audience wants to look at – that's part of the leading man thing.”
He added: “Era of little kid-man freaks, as we call it.” And now I'm just a man. Freak Man. “Man freak.”
Despite being 31 years old, Barry plays an Oxford University student who becomes obsessed with his wealthy classmate Felix and travels to Saltburn to spend the summer with Felix's family.
Barry's acting career began in 2011 when he auditioned for a role in Between the Canals – an Irish film about the lives of three hardened criminals.
He then studied acting at the Factory in Dublin before appearing in the Irish soap Fair City at the age of 18.
His biggest breakthrough came in 2017 when he landed a role in the World War II film Dunkirk, in which he portrayed the character George Mills.
Since then, he has appeared in a number of famous films, including “The Batman”, “Eternals”, “American Animals”, the TV series “Chernobyl” and the Golden Globe-winning “The Banshees of Inisherin”, for which he was credited received an Oscar nomination.
