Lucy was first spotted wearing a huge diamond ring on her left marital finger when the couple arrived home in Sydney on Sunday night.
The couple is expected to give birth to their first baby together in three months.
According to The Courier Mail, the soccer star reportedly told his family and colleagues at Rabbitohs about his plans to pop the question before the couple set out on the trip.

The couple, both of British origin, are expecting their first child together in September.
They announced the news in March, just five months after going public with their relationship.

Sam, who is now an NRL coach, already has two older children, Poppy, four, and Billy, three, with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke).
Lucy recently made the decision to move Down Under permanently from the UK and it is believed that her pregnancy was the reason for this.
Born in West Yorkshire, England, Sam has known Lucy for around 20 years.
Her identity was revealed last October after he took her as his date to the Rome premiere of Russell Crowe’s film Poker Face.

Speaking to Chron Australia at the time of the pregnancy announcement, friends said they were “exceedingly excited” that Sam is starting a new chapter with Lucy by his side.
“He’s mad at Lucy.” It’s been a whirlwind, but she’s an amazing woman. They get along so well. “All his friends are so thrilled to see how happy he makes them,” said a close friend.
“The Burgesses are very family oriented and I think there was always a plan to start a family. From what I’ve heard, it’s really good for him. Apparently when they’re together they laugh all the time – she makes him laugh.’
